I'm in the process of building up a Velocity 50 and I am trying to figure out which battery would safely yeild 10 flights per charge.

FYI a 2500mah pack will give you around 5-6 flights....however, im pounding on my machine running 8717's at 8v.

6 minute flights.

You would need the 5000mah 2s lipo to get that many flights out of a single pack. I'm getting 5 - 6 minute flights from my 2500. If I was you personally, I would get 2 3600mah packs rather than 1 really big one, and if I were to do it again I would have gotten the 3600mah packs. 2500 just isn't enough "spare" for my comfort.

Figure about 250-325mah per flight.

The Outrage rx packs are all 2S1P packs, 2500, 3600 & 5000

we are running the 2500 with Io Labs servo's on 8v, 8 minute flights I swap the packs after 4 flights, running formula fuel

Outrage 2500 here also

But a nice things about the 2500, you get around 4to5 hard flights

and the batt is very light,

also the 2500 will fit in the side trays and on top of the tray, I mounted my reg on top and the batt on the side.

This will depend on setup, flying style and flight time. I use 300-400mah per flight.

A single 3600 will fit if you drop it down the tray a bit, there is NO WAY a pair of 3600 are going to fit under the hood mounted on top of each other, and I can't imagine why you would need (2)3600 packs in parrellel anyway, it takes nothing to change out a pack after 4 or 5 flights, its a belt or velco strap and unplug one wire. Unless he meant he would pick up a pair of 3600 packs and swap them after a few flights?

beeflyer, how many minutes are those flights? I did mention that those numbers assumed 6 min flights. If you're getting 8 min. then my math is still pretty spot on, if you're getting 6 min, then adjustment would be needed, but either way, 2 3600 packs is a lot of headroom for 10 flights, that's not in question.

Im using the outrage 3600mah pack. I got 5 flights, and still had 2 of 3 green lights on the align regulator switch thing. Im running align servos, flying 7 minutes 3d.

I find the harder I "throw down" at the field... the more peices i have to pick up.
