| Edit: I dont see how the 3000 mah packs work, Im finding the 2650`s are nearly too big as it is, I have alot of trouble trying to stop the canopy from rubbing on the main gear due to the pack pulling on the canopy, which also ruins the grommets.

My Turnigy 3000 30C's just do fit. No tray mod and the heli balances perfectly...I have to strech the canopy around the battery some and yes, it is sort of hard on grommets, but both the Align and Fusuno canopies get over the battery. If I lubricate the cano posts the grommets do fine.
These 3000's are heavy batteries, 507g, but produce a lot more power than my Flightmax 2650's. I've never tached my head but on a stock motor & ESC w/13T pinion it screams at 100%. It's lots of fun. I just wish the flights were 30 minutes instead of 5 minutes.  |
