Guys, Does any one know what the lenghts are from cener of ball link to center of ball link are supposed to be. I am assembling a usued machine and the links were off, When I look at the manual it just says 4 rods at 85 mm and so on . Does that mean I shoild just screw the ball links on each end and when I have 85 mm of rod between them I am done. Please forgive such a stoupid question as the anwser is proberbly right in front of my face. Or maybe its the 10 hours ive spent today trying to get this thing ready to fly.

Thanks,Mark

These should get you in the ball park if you're using ACTIVE head setting.
These measurements are CENTER TO CENTER of the ball links.

There are lengths printed in the Aurora manual as well

Don't forget this link should make a 90° angle to the mixing arm at 0° pitch.

3 years is enough time wasted. Taking a break for a while.

So you measure the rod between the begining of the ball link and the rod.Why dont they just give a measurement from center of ball link to center of ball link, Like most manufactures. Also that way you can use a ball link set up tool to make things enen easier. Could you also tell me where in the manual the rod lenght are. The one I found is on the last two pages and it just says 4- 80mm threaded rod. av00-200-523 short carbon pushrod,av00-200-996 100mm threaded rod av00-200-995 2 85mm rods, av00-200-991-3 35mm rods , av00-200-997 2 135mm threaded rods, So again are they telling me that this is what should be showing between the rod lenghts, Because these measurements dont work for center of ball link to center of ball link.So if possible could you give me a little more explenation.

Thanks for everyones time
Mark

If you look at the parts listing on the avant rc site, you can see all the linkage rod lenghts at the bottom of the list. Here

The manual gives general linkage rod lengths between the ends of the ball links, which is another way to measure the lengths of the rod. It works just as well as measuring center to center.

Another way I come up with the servo linkage rod lengths are by placing the ball link in the servo screw, so the hole in the link fits in the servo screw, and adjust the linkage rod length to the center of the CCPM control shaft, this gets me about 99% close to the desired linkage rod length.
