My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Got out today cloudy 55 degree, Hook up the battery hover planty of power switch to ST1 climbed pretty good .Let my buddy tach suddenly smoke came out from the canopy, mannage to land safely pull the canopy out smoke the ESC and the motor LOL. What I did I ran Align motor that came with my T-rex 500 and the ESC 60amp in my Vebe 500E. Want to know what motor/esc /pinion # will ran this heli. I want a good setup

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Best set-up: Kontronik. Jazz 55-6-18 ESC with a Kora 15-14 or 15-16 motor. 15-14 is perfect for 5S with 17T. 6S: 15-14 with 14T or 15-16 with 16 or 17T.

Biggest advantage: very light setup. Much more than with scorpion by example. About the ESC you may also try Hacker X55SB ESC. A lot cheaper than the Jazz 55 and still very good. A few grammes heavier.

You may alos buy thesetup Scott Gray uses. It is the JR/Hacker combo available in Japan for the japanese version of the Vibe 500E: SVE6S
But the Kontronik setup will be a lot better. The JR ESC is really heavy, twice the weight of the Jazz55.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		You didn't say what battery you were using (6S ??), but if you are using 6S and the 1600KV Trex Motor an a 12T or 13T pinion you are highly overspeeding the rotor. The Vibe 500E is designed for a 1000KV motor. I am using the recommended E-Flite Power 25 heli motor. Others use the Scorpion 1000kv too. The Align 60A Esc should be ok with a properly sized motor on 6S. I am using a 100A Castle Phoenix ICE 100 (Overkill)
