I've been getting my replacement and spare parts stores up. I had restored a Kyosho Concept SR-X a while back and it was relatively easy, but I always wanted a Cricket. I had a GMP Cobra as my second heli years ago. So when I started my Cricket search about a year ago and with some of the prices that they were, I had some doubt. It hasn't turn out so back or expensive, thanks to these guys. I thought it would be hard to locate most of the parts, especially crash kit stuff. But I have to say it has been a lot easier with guys like vintageheliparts, mpheli, and gorhambirds. These guys have been patient with my endless emails or stupid questions and have come through for me. The first parts have started to come in.

Vintageheliparts sent me two sets of main rotor blades. They are just beautiful. The wood is flawless as is the machining of the airfoil. For $25 and the quick turnaround, I wouldn't bother with used or any other source. It was packed quite well.
MPheli has sent my parts and has kept me posted as to delivery. Adam is concerned enough of my order, that he requested feedback on a canopy I ordered. I will let you guys know how it turns out, but I'm confident already due to his concerns that I be pleased.
gorhambirds is my latest order and I'm excited about it. Steve has been very patient with me and my order. This is the last due to issues on my side. Steve, if you read this any word on the release of tail booms?

My canopies from mphelis are great. They look durable, were well packed and Adam kept me posted as to delivery. I recommend these canopies.
My parts from gorhamhelis has been sent and I'm waiting for delivery. Steve has kept me informed as to the status of my order. Will let everyone know how they look in the next few days.

I got my parts from Steve and they too are real nice. They all actually look better than new. Packed nicely and quick mailing to me. Just need tail booms for spares and I'm set.

My fellow Cricket flyers,

Regarding tail booms. First, let me say that I haven't given up on them. At this point, I'm reluctant to specify a date of delivery as I feel my credibility will suffer if I don't get them out on time. I've so far said twice that "they'te comming in a few weeks", only to be again delayed by personal situations. I won't bore you guys with my personal situations, but this summer has been life changing for me. I'm not sick or anything and my family is well, but I have had no time to do ANY modelling. Things are changing, but I'm not "out of the woods" yet, so to speak.

Bottom line is this. I have spend a great deal of time and money getting the tailbooms to the point of where they are now. I have no intention of giving up on them. I have been supplying parts to many of you Cricket flyers, and I thank each and every one of you for it. Being as all my customers (friends) can vouch for the quality of the parts I offer and my commitment to service, I promise, the tailbooms will be nothing short of GMP quality or better. You guys (and the Cricket) deserve no less. It will be a little longer, but I promise to keep you posted. If, God forbid, one of you should need a boom to get flying again, I'll see if I can come up with a used one or something to get you flying until mine are ready. I really don't have original exras to sell, but I will do what I can to get you flying again.

Regarding clutches, I am having no luck at all finding a vendor to manufacture them cost effectively. My last quote, get this, was $90.00. That is, if I make 20 pieces, they'll cost $90.00 per piece to make! Anyone need a $120.00 clutch?! No, I didn't think so ! I do, however, have an idea to modify and repair a broken clutch. I'm working out the bugs, but if one of you breaks your clutch, don't throw it away. Send it to me. I'll experiment with it. If the mod works, I'll return it to you for nothing. Kind of a "freebie" for letting me "experiment" with your broken parts. Thanks Guys, and keep 'em flying. I'll be in touch.
