I've got it running on Windows 7 without problems. I'm running 7 64bit. I started with 1.04 and ran all the updates everything went exactly as it should have.

Hmm

Running 64bit Win7 and it seems stuck on 2.00n says run update? then comes up with sound card error message and flips back to 2.00n

Can I just copy the directory straight over from my old vista install?

Spent the evening struggling with this.. get stuck on needs d3dx9_41.dll tried DLing it but it still doenn't want to upgrade beyond 2.00n and won't allow any helis to load

says not compatible with this version .. DL update ..

tried copying directory over from my vista install but no joy.

ho hum

Any ideas?

You should have no problems running it as administrator. I have run it on the 64 and 32bit versions for the past 6 months on the beta versions, and I am running it on the 64bit and 32bit ultimate versions now.

I have never had any issues running it on Windows 7 64Bit also. Never tried it on the 32 version.

still stuck on 2.00n If I do the "check for updates" it offers 2.00q goes through all the motions of downloading and updating then restarts as version n

Also goes through all the video downloads

Just wondering if it's one of the latest "malicious software fixes" in the Win7 updates, with Vista I often found even be a day out of date caused some wierdness.

Guess I'll need to configure another machine with vanilla Win7 before updates and see if that works

Every cloud.. as one guy here was extolling the physics of version n I now have a direct comparison (Still running S on my Vista laptop so can do an AB comparison, only problem is I only have the Synergy N9 working on Win7 and that flies like it weighs 8oz

Have you shot Phoenix an email on the problem, I be interested in knowing what they have to say on the matter before I get my free upgrade to Windows 7 on my new laptop.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

Have you tried running in compatibility mode?

It sounds like it may be an issue with your system, not the game. What build are you running?

How do you find out what build you are running on Windows 7? On the beta versions it was stamped on the desktop but I have never round it on the other the RTM version.

Go to SYSTEM INFORMATION. Just type it into the start menu and it will pop up. Then check under version.

Sorry for not picking this up sooner

It's Home Premium bought Oct 22nd so commercial release (I know about XP if I buy prof. but that's kinda defeating the object)

Done all the updates to Win7

Definitely feel it's a Win7 having some issue with some part of the Phoenix updater as the progress bars strongly suggest all's been updated but then it just blinks back to 2.00n

Have you tried unistalling everything of phoenix and reinstalling? I got the sound error, and unistalled everything then reinstalled and everything was fine.

I only got that error on the 64bit version, but now it works.

just got this back from Phoenix support:
Hi Paul

The update from version 2.0 to 2.5 must be done manually from our website by doing the following:

- Download the 2.5.k update from our website to your Windows Desktop (www.phoenix-sim.com/downloads.htm)

- Run the update installer by double-clicking the downloaded file
