I am curious what parts (if any) you would advise purchasing with a Blade mSR? I am not sure if there are things that typically break within the first few months for a new user.

Thanks!

you won't need parts
Just remember to kill the throttle when you crash or are about to hit the wall
They are very tough and hard to break

I have run into the wall a few times no parts needed yet

oh also chech the other post to see what people have done to modify their MSR

1 of the better tips was glueing the back motor lid so it doesn't get knocked off in a crash

I have read a lot about some of the really low cost batteries. Do these actually peform well and hold a charge?

if you are reffering to the hobby city batteries for 1.99$ you got nothing to lose trying them. I haven't yet but going by the specs E-flite is hard to beat 14C disharge and 120mah compared to 10C 138mah
the E-flite will give the best power but at 1.99 these bats win

When you start flying more aggressively, make sure you have extra blade grips. Other than that I think you're good

Blade grips are the only break I've had. I did also kill a servo, but in the mSR's defence, flying into a wall at high speed was not my best flight!

I do have some of the hobbycity 138mah batteries. The price is great but overall performance is less. the 120's from eflight will last a few minutes longer but with a 5-1 price differance the 138's will give you more flight time for the same $$ spent.
