Does anyone know if the onboard starte will fit in the Benzin Trainer or is it only for use when the mechanics are installed in a scale fuselage ?

ive just installed one on a trainer however its very close to the servo rods which was resolved by bending them up slightly in the middle to bridge over the motor.
this was just to set up the model i have now got the airstar int frames which allow the servo to be installed on the side frames which work better and allow me to get a more scale apearance in the bell47 and at the same time keep the eletric start

Thanks dazzaster, for the clarification. Flicking through the catalogue this morning it dawned on me that it probably wouldn't fit easily, if at all. I thought I'd ask the question before buying.

It fit in mine very well. My pics in my Vario gallery section proves it worked and still works nicely, even in my huey. I would recommend to use a Brushless system.

also to add i use a 3 cell 350mah evo lipo pack to run it as it gives a better start compared to nimh that vario recomend. however be carefull to ensure you give it short burst when starting

Yes...I would concur..I have 14.8V on 1600Mah for mine with my Brushless with only 60% power. DO NOT do 100%. good luck.

The electric start fits okay in the Benzin trainer have had one fitted for two years prior to selling the model not long ago. The only comment i can make is to ensure the main bearing is kept well lubricated other than that 100% reliable.
