Here it is, my first crash in the 4 or 5 seasons I've been flying heli's
Granted I didnt fly but one or two times a couple of those years due to a lack of time, but never-the-less it finally caught up with me haha. Trying new things of course, I did my first half piro-flip with my Raptor .50 this last weekend and it went well, so I thought hey, time to try with the Trex! Didnt end up so well!
3D rookie + small, fast moving heli + losing light at the end of the day, silohouetted and dumb-thumbed it trying to correct/get oriented and went from bad to worse, sliding downward and sideways/backwards and upside-down LMAO. At this point I didnt know if it was coming or going, I just new that today was it's day to become... a roto-tiller. Once I realized that things were in fact out of my hands and into the hands of the Lord, I do remember smiling a little as I remembered to flip the "hold" switch just before it hit

I have been worried about that lately, trying more new things than ever and always thinking to myself "I wonder if I'll remember to hit the switch before one of my heli's beats itself to a twisted, mangled, smoking rats-nest of frayed/broken servo and gyro leads and little bits of shiny aluminum and carbon fiber scattered from one end of our flying field to the other while I watch, frozen in amazement... because I forgot to flip the switch! Well, that little joyful picture will have to wait to get played out another day

Anyways, I unplugged my battery, started my raptor and auto'd the rest of the fuel out of it and by then it was too dark to fly.
I cant believe it didnt even break my Radix blades! All in all parts required to fix are-
Main shaft and bearings
Feathering shaft
Landing gear
Bottom plastic floor plate (just the front broke where the ESC mounts}
Tail blades
Main gear
Tail fin
One ball link end
Flybar
Rear cyclic servo gears
Anti rotation bracket (which I broke pushing on)
Here are a couple pics for your viewing enjoyment!

Its 7:45am, everyone land so I can call in sick...
