I was helping a flying buddy put together his Outrage head over the weekend and noticed that there were three hole to put the ball onto the pitch arm. My question is what difference does it make? It is a T-Rex 600e with 9252 servos. I put them in the middle hole for now. He is waiting on a SK360 to fly.

Holes...

The holes are so you can adjust the resolution....

depending on the ratio of the setup you can use whatever hole gives you the best flight characteristics....

I usually just use the middle hole ...set servos at 10-11mm from center on servo arms for that machine ...and I put shorter balls on the center of the swash...going from swash to pitch arms..

But I suppose if you use the stock length inner swash balls you may want to consider using the outermost holes on the arms...

I aggree with Jag, the holes are for different resolution. The further out the ball is on the grip the higher gain you will be able to run. Same idea as tail gyro setup. Im running all stock lengths, with the balls in the outer holes on the grip arms. Works like a charm.

I find the harder I "throw down" at the field... the more peices i have to pick up.

Hi, I have just fitted this head on my Trex600 and have noticed that using the centre hole the blades will be 15mm lower down than the standard Align head, it there a potential problem with the baldes hitting the boom?.Andy.

YES....

I had mine lowered over 1" and fly fairly hard 3d.

never had any issues...if you look around you'll see some guys have lowered their heads SUPER low..(guessing almost 2" and still had no issues...

I think 1" is more than safe though...

at least it was for me
