My beam was apart for awhile while I recuperated from surgery.
The rear servo is what? the Aileron. Looking at the helo from its right side pointing forward(the same side the rear servo is on) what is the left servo Elevator? and then the right front servo? I forgot where to put them in my J PCM receiver. I cant find my beam booklet and I dont see it online.
thanks in advance
Looking down at the top of the helo:

_________|Right Servo
|
Front ----| -----------Mainshaft -----------------------Helo Tail
________________________| rear servo
__________|Left Servo

How is that mapped out with servo names.

I'm pretty sure I put my rear servo in 'elevator'. IIRC the other two do not matter, but I think I chose the left side (drivers side) servo for aileron. What really matters is in the swash setup and reversing. Mine worked almost perfectly with stock settings. I only had to reverse the aileron.

I need one of those to fly in my office. Tried to fly my .90 in there but man is my wife pissed now!

The rear servo is the elevator. The left front is normally aileron, and the right front is aux. But the aileron and the aux can be switched depending on you radio set up. Hope this helped, If not let us know, there is a lot of knowledgeable minds on this forum.

Thanks guys
I hooked it up like you guys said. when I go left the swash dips left.
When I go right the swash dips right. But when I throttle up the rear servo goes up and both front servos go down. They should all go up.
Any ideas? (motor is disconnected)

Go into you radio program and look at what your elevator swash mixing number is. If it is at -60 then set it to +60. 60 is the suggested starting point for your swash mix. Try it and let us know.

I forgot about that. I am using a JR 8103 with a PCM receiver. Probably have that number opposite.
thanks

You mentioned earlier that you have left and right on the cyclic correct but you did not say if forward and backward was correct. Once you have left, right, forward, and back, then use the swash mix to get the collective moving together. Your swash setting will differ a little depending on you radio-servo combination. With the settings you said you were at, I would start at 67 on all 3 then fine tune from there. Don't give up on it!!! If heli's were easy everybody would be doing them. -Mark

If when you go forward the swash tilts forward, then you don't need to reverse it. But if you push forward and the whole swash moves down then you need to reverse the elevator. Keep us posted-Mark

I got it all fixed but I have a roll to the left and I cant get it out with trim. I am guessing this is a mixing setup issue?

Glad to see you are persistent. I am assuming that you have all your links at 90 degrees with the trims centered. (servo arms level, washout arms level, see saw level, blades flat, and fly bar cage level). If all is level than I would start adjusting the aileron and aux in small increments. Do this with the heli on and you can see the movements as you adjust. Leave you motor unplugged. Don't ask how I learned that lesson. Is it leaning to the left as it sits, or does it lean left as you add cyclic?

I think I fixed everything in the subtrim menu. I got the swash perfectly flat and it got dark so I couldnt test it.
So I am cycling my batts.
thanks for the help I will post results tomorrow.
Yes all my links are 90 degrees with trims centered now

Good to hear you got it going. I get so frustrated sometimes, I think after building four helicopters before I even got out of a hover helped me though.... LOL! I keep four in case I crash three of them

I need one of those to fly in my office. Tried to fly my .90 in there but man is my wife pissed now!

LoL and congrats for flying without crashing! Sadly I know the feeling. I've only recently started flying basic pattern work. I figured I was going to build the Beam and fly my other cheap heli's until I got better but the Beam flys soo smooth and soo much better than the rest, I can't resist. I don't even have any weights on the flybar and I have no issues controlling the cyclic, not even expo added!

I've ran a couple packs through it but I've been waiting for my charger to arrive. Charging lipo's at .8A sucks! LoL! Its waiting for me now when I get home, woo hoo.

I need one of those to fly in my office. Tried to fly my .90 in there but man is my wife pissed now!
