I just got 2 new feathering shafts from Heli World to keep the old Hawk up and going for my 19 yr old son. The smaller washers in both packages are to small to go over the shaft!! The larger ones fit no problem. I recall having this same problem some time ago and just drilled them out. What a PITA!!! Maybe Im just not licking right.

If it doesn't fly sell it!

The small washers are not supposed to go over the shaft. They fit over the threads, to the inside, and act as the thrust washers, riding against the inner race of the outer radial bearing. The larger ones go to the outside, against the locknut.

Interesting, I ran across this same problem over a year ago. IVE Converted everything over to the raven boom and head but thought I would set my son up with a nice Hawk I had setting around to get him started. I will call Century in the morning and ask them to get a fresh package from stock and see what they come up with and report back. The part shows 6 washers from the century site but my pack only cantained 4.

If it doesn't fly sell it!

Turns out after futher investigation, these 2 spare feathering shafts were new in the package but were over 2 years old. I have converted my 2 hawks to raven heads and forgot how long its been using a hawk feathering shaft as i was building it for my son and must have had these parts for, well forever!! So long story short these feathering shaft packages are over 2 years old and must have been a problem back then not now. So my post may have jumped the gun a little. Must have been a problem back then!!

Maybe they sent it out and the shipper screwed up...who knows.

I know they had a massive computer failure about the middle of November (still wasn't up yesterday), so that might have been a reason.

Did you give them a call on their toll free line?

I would suggest you do, and ask for Paul, you will probably get satisfaction that way.
