My Posts This: Topic Forum | Actually you want the best tail you can afford when learning to fly. A 401/9254 is a great step and should be much better than the 190/std you have now (per previous post). There are other good choices, I have the Thunder Tiger TG7000 with the matching 0606 servo = good or even better for a bit more money, a Futaba 520 with some high performance servo such as the 9254 (there are better for the same money IMO).
used 401's are going for less money now so that may actually be an alternative worth looking at, I personally wouldn't pay more than about 60% compared to new. I've seen some great deals on used JR gyro's.
