Below is a picture of what I have now . Do I need to move the tail box into the fuse as close as possible ? This is not a kit , it is a fuse I picked up and a Trex i'm stuffing in it so nothing fits the way it should .

Standard practice would be to grind of the mount for the fin and get the box a bit further into the boom. Use a piece of pipe insulation around the boom to center it in the fuse and keep it positioned. Anymore, you'll rarely see a tail case bolted into a fuse.

Thank you for the reply Ben . I have removed the vert fin mounts . Would it be okay to run the boom offset in the tail of the fuse ? I'm unable to get it centered due to the bolt that tightens the tailbow to the boom .

Or should i releive the fuse and let the bolt stick out so it can be centered in the fuse ?

I've not found enough close up pics for a fuse of this nature or I wouldn't be so pesty .

Provided nothing gets sideloaded with the boom braces and in the way the mechanics mount up front (IE you will have to skew the mounting of the mechanics up front to allow for the offset out back), I doubt there will be an issue with having the box slightly offset in the tail section.

Ben , what do you guys do with your tail control linkage ? I appears the linkage isn't going to be inside the fuse . I will probably have to drill a hole towards the rear of the fuse for the linkage to be ran properly .

See if you can get a plastic T/R housing for your model and cut off the offending parts. design a special foam block to lift the boom enough to run the pushrod inside the fuse. Sometimes these good deal fuses are left over from 60 size models and the boom is too short for 90 size models.
