Looks good! Nice paint job. So is the header tank necessary? Can you show some better picks of how it is attached and maybe some pics with the canopy off so I can see your wiring/layout? Thanks

You dont have to run a Header tank. But most people do with the o.s. Hyper 50, It helps it to run a bit more consistent. I choose to run a fuel Magnet instead of the header tank. Even though the clunk works well, the old Hyper likes the insurance policy, LOL.

The new o.s. 55 is much more tunable, so a clunk works just as good as anything else.

Hope this helps

Thanks! Like Craig said, The header tank isn't neccesary, I just like to use one. I attached it using the QuickUK mounting kit. I can't take any pics with the canopy off right now, but it is very simple. Spektrum 7100R, Outrage 3600mah Lipo, and a Mini-G are all that is under there.

Looking at that, I guess the canopy comes un-sprayed ??.

I've just ordered one of these, be a bit dissapointing if I've got to get it sprayed. Are they any decals in the kit ?.

Cheers,

Simon

The canopy in the kit is a white plastic job and a sheet of stickers (as most kits in this price range are). It's actually really light and I really like the looks of it when flying. The windshield is cheesy and hard to mount and make it look good. The canopy plastic quality is OK though the thickness is inconsistent.

So this will lead you to want a painted fiberglass lid if you want a better looking can or if you are like me I don't worry about how my flying lids look up close. I figure if I drill it in I'd rather have a plastic lid that has a minimal amount of work/effort/money in it.

I believe the current competition promotion allows you to get the factory painted FG canopy as part of the competition purchase OR get the TT conversion kit for 1/2 price - check the deal out before buying to make sure it's still valid.

Just wanted to clarify my first post - I assumed it was plastic from memory and posted as such THEN checked the kit and found it to be fiber glass.

POST then CHECK = BAD IDEA
