Just wanted to share some info with all of you. Each time I repaired my Aeolus after each of the two crashes, I had stripped the top of a couple of M3x10mm button head screws. Upon talking with Chris from AHF USA, he suggested I change the button head screws to socket cap screws.
Here is how the frame looked before the upgrade:

Upon removing the button head screws for the upgrade I did strip the top where the hex driver goes of 4 more screws. I was able to remove the stripped screws.
Here is how the frame looked after the upgrade:

In changing out the frame screws I was able to tighten down on the socket cap screws without feeling that I would strip the top of the screws now.
Here is an up close shot of the socket cap screws:

The frame of my Aeolus 50 3D looks more beefy with the socket cap screws with a neglegible amout of weight added.
I actually changed all the button head screws not just the 3x10mm ones. So I used: 50 - 3x10mm socket cap screws (including electronics module and engine module) 2 - 3x8mm socket cap screws (frame block for the tail control arm) 4 - 3x8mm socket cap screws (X mounting) changed from 3x6mm 4 - 3x6mm socket cap screws (clutch bearing block) |
