| The center-of-gravity explanation isn't a good one because moving both batteries upward and backward toward the main-shaft would help the center-of-gravity. Not just one battery.

If the CoG is good before, and if both packs was moved backwards, it aint gonna be better unless you cut off the boom  (understand the thinking about packs under the mainshaft, shorten the span-wise weight, but its not valid unless you have something to balance out the boom upfront anyway)
The Ion-X2 I thought had too "span-wise" weight distribution, this Aurora with its current location wont have that problem, at least not so you will feel it.
