My Posts This: Topic Forum | +1 on all the above. Figure out what model you want specifically and don't settle for anything else. Look everyday many times and wait alot. I always ask what price they want right now to sell it. eBay has rules that I don't care to deal with as a buyer, but I got my best Cricket at a fair price on it and it is a flyable one and just needs cleaning. You will see a lot of posted antiques here and in the RR classifieds. Don't get discouraged when you see one you really like and the the guy doesn't answer your posts or PMs. Then it is suddenly SOLD or the thread dies or there were no other posts or answers to other queries. I doubt it was ever really for sell.
I queried many sellers of their price they wanted right now and they suddenly said sold or never answered. It took me about 9 months to find a Cricket I wanted at a price I thought was fair. I ended up with 2 plus parts to start a third. Don't give up. The right one will suddenly appear. Yard sales, Estate sales, or Thrift shops. Alot of the older helis were bought when may could get them to fly and the modeler gave up and it sits in their garage.
