Update: Matt has us doing training flights on the N5 all day, we buddy boxed with the prototype taking turns. That thing flies freaking great. Setup was OS55HZ, BLS351's, 600MM Radix SB'sm, Futaba 520 Gyro w/9256.

The cyclics were out of this world, he actually had to dumb them down considerably. It rolls on rails with almost no collective needed and was fast, fast, FAST! All we could say was "Wow". Yes, it tracks just like the N9!!!

We also flew his N9, I'll be compiling a list of setup tips and tricks to post in this thread after the school including some interesting mixes that seem to really make a difference.

All I can say is AWESOME. Its not often you have one of the best heli pilots in the world come to your field and let you pick their brain for two days. For you guys who think you are good enough to not benefit from Matt's instructions guess again. Matt will open many doors to expand your flying and I guarantee your flying and training perspectives will change for the better. Matt's instructions and flying are fantastic inspiration for any person looking to further enjoy the hobby. Good stuff!!

What is the cost of it for two days if yo don't mind me asking. If you don't want to put it on the thread then shoot me a pm. I would be interested. Matt is a great guy.

Fly it like you stole it!

I agree with Entityofme1 completely, what a weekend. We beat on his N5 for two days, three guys taking turns, on the buddy box, with Matt, a ruthless instructor. We even got to do a bunch of flights on his N9.

You know that comfort zone you're flying in right now? Forget it, gone. He'll see it immediately and make you do something else.

Entityofme1 even got to fly his Logo 600 a zillion mph across our field, that thing is so freakin' fast.

He finished out today with two stellar demos with his N9, I got one on HD with his canopy but he flew another flight without his canopy right at the end that was just off the hook!!!

I'm sure both of us will have a lot to add to the thread as we recap our experience but for now, I'm wore the f' out, lol.

bkervaski,

I did not know that Matt has rebuild another Logo 600 after his spectacular crash (which I guess everybody here has seen...)!

Do you know what set-up he flies? 10s or 12s? Motor?

Many thanks

10s thunder power packs 40C around 4250 mah and a hacker motor of some sort. I think he runs around a 1000-mah flight pack which is good for around 2-3 flights. As Matt will tell you this is more of a novelty type machine that is really fun to fly and show-off but is very impractical for some serious stick time on a regular basis at the field. Don't get me wrong it's very desireable to own to have fun with but the flights are only 3:30 long.

Well I attended the Alpine Heli Smackdown where many Mikado pilots were too. They all used 10s on their 600`s and flight time was around 6 to 8 minutes! Of course the head speeds were not ultra high but power and performance with the Hacker Turbine / Jive ESC was impressive though.
So what the hell was Matt`s headspeed to get out only 3:30???

Something to do with it's transwarp drive or the force or it's ability to bend space, it was fast.

LOL, listen to the muffled comments. Sorry about the poor video, I couldn't keep up with it through the view finder, the focus was off because it was so damn fast.

Wow, I am envious. I want to do this school badly. Trying to convince the other members of my club to attend the school as well.

Early 2010 ? Apparently Synergy Asia was a little behind the eight ball on the release of the N5. The market still needs a quality built 50 size machine. Maybe, just maybe this will be it !

Problems ? -- Mine are flown in fresh daily
