The Century Radiakal G-20 came yesterday---unpacked and was in aw of the packaging and labeling of the parts, the build is a bit different then what I am accustom to, very simple and high quality.

I will have to take a break and take care of other obligations, I will return with pictures, hope to be flying next week (if things go well))

Yes it is the G-10 version with the LT head, the other option is the Predator head.

There was some discussion as to the distance from the muffler to the canopy, the canopy is recessed so there is about one inch distance, also the muffler is about the same distance to the fuel tank.

This machine came with Rotortech 620 blades, however putting 660 size will also fit,the helical cut gears are silky smoth, this one has a 13 tooth pinion and a 84 tooth main gear.

well that answers my original concern. You'd never guess from the photo it was that much space.

I've got my g20 coming . ordered her last night.do you have any info on the optional gearing.i heard stk gears would get 2000 headspeed, hopeing they make taller to get it up to 2100 2200.

To much power is never enough.

What's the difference between the two heads?

Besides the cost difference, is there HD head any better?
Why would you upgrade to that head? They're both plastic, right?

I don't know anything about century, but am now considering getting one of these.

I believe there is a total of 4 gearing ratios, the HD head is Predator, go to the Helicenter.com or Century web site and go into the parts section and see the difference, the Predator also has an all metal head.

I also ordered a Century Radiakal G-20 LT. Its on its way. Does the fan/clutch assembly get dial indicated for least runout like the bigger Predator and Spectra G?

I think the stock ratio is 13/84 , 14, 15, & 16 would be the other pinion sizes.

The clutch design is different than the Predator, the fan fits on the crankshaft with a keyway and fool proof from there. this one had no measured runout.

With the 16 tooth pinion that would give you about 2200 head speed, with a 10 lb. machine that should be pretty good.

hey those gear ratios don't compute, and in the pictures the main gear looks pretty small maybye 64 or so.14 /64 would put it about 1850 hs at 8500 rpm ( witch is the peak according to the horizen motor info)

To much power is never enough.

Well lets check it again, I just went out in the shop and counted 84 teeth on the main gear, if we used a 16 tooth pinion that would give us a ratio of 5.25-1 , run the engine like a 231 at 12,000 rpm you will have a head speed of 2285.
