hi there
I´m just rebuilding my rotorhead. now I ask myself to use the outer hole on the pitch arm. I´m using the blade mount 317.
do you think, I can do it? or better not?

my heli is a Xcell Gasser. I bought it as a used one and I have some problems and questions because it´s my first gasser.
Actually my problem is the starting. I have to pull 20 to 30 times until it gives the first sign of life. Thats maybe a problem of the L-needle.

Can you say me, what engine I have, a 23 or a 231 ?

Tom, the plug is a new one. it´s the BMR7A. my setting was L= 7/8 and H=1 1/8. I pulled 2 times with choke cloesd. than I tried with open choke.
I unscrewed the plag und it was totaly wet.
now I have the L 3/4 and now it starts working

my mixture ist 87 octane and 1:40 synthetik oil

the new plug was silbver, now its becoming blue. is that right?

Michael, 40 to 1 is a LOT of oil. Can you obtain Amsoil products?

Also, check the primary coil to flywheel gap. This should be set at .010 thousanths of an inch (.25mm). You can use a business card of the proper thichness as a gauging tool. This keeps the flywheel magnets from sticking to the coil. After adjusting, use thread lock on the screws that mount the coil. Verify that the plug gap is correct.
