I flew Raptors a long long time ago when every pilot had one in their fleet. Well I ended up picking up a Titan SE at IRCHA this year. The machine went together perfectly. Not one single issue or problem. Unffortunately, I did not get the opportunity to fly the machine before I had to sell it.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

Raptors as a product line get pooh-poohed by the uninformed around here because they consider them an old design. I probably have a dozen raptors in my fleet from a 30 to several 90s. The cureent 50 is about as good as anything out there and will fly great built stock. Any reasonably fast servo with 75in/oz or more of torque will be all you will ever need in that size heli. If you are not a new flyer set all of the links for "3D" as identified in the manual and replace the paddles with the TT light paddles (green/blue/red). It needs no other mods to be nice and fast yet still pretty stable. Depending on the gear you choose, you can mount the tail servo on the boom but use the front location if the balance works out. It'll keep the servo out of the oil.

Agreed MartyH
I have had 3 raptors and two rex 600s They are both great machines..Lighter paddles lighter blades on the rap 50 along with decent servos (strong fast on collective) Thing flys great ..I fly one next to the 600 not much different.. Depending on pilot..I think people get tied up with new and bling..The old Rappys are hard to beat
