The Knight 3d was my favourite nitro heli to date. I like the update, some interesting features particularly the horizontal carbon frame stiffener just above the fan shroud...

Love that canopy ^^^ too!

Yes, like most helis it could be set up with low cyclic/collective values, add some flybar weights and it would be fine for a beginner to fly. As far as quality, no problems really. Nice helis...

It's a great heli for learning. Parts don't wear out like another brand I won't mention. It is also very durable and handles crashes better than most other 50's out there.

I can already tell I DON'T like the elevator linkage. I hope they go back to the old style elevator A-arm linkage and dump the chintzy linkage and anti-rotation bracket. Also looks like it could use a plate under the motor.

I do like the horizontal plate above the fan shroud in favor of the small stacked frame pieces.

Have to agree, I prefer the cleaner look of the original 'A' arm too.

I think there is a plate under the motor though, connects the motor mount to the front skids...

It isn't just the look of the original style. If you look closely at the links from the elevator servo to the elevator control lever, you can see the control lever has the balls coming straight out the top and bottom rather than the sides of the control arm. That can cause binding, and is more likely to pop off the ball if the link is worn. Very bad idea IMHO.

its simply, i would say a compass head dont need a flybarless head, because they fly soo good...
And in the case i guess ,the one from the K3D will fit the 3D plus aniway.
