Been dealing with "glitches" while using a DX6i in Phoenix 2.5R and now have a solution for all that have this problem. This is a copy of the email Phoenix sent me this morning and I tested today with great success!

Hi Doug

We have now spent a great deal of time on this issue, which appears to be with the radio’s training port, and not with the radio itself or the Phoenix hardware or software.

We have added a new filtering system, and updated the 2.5.r version for the small number of users who are experiencing the problem.

Please can you reinstall the 2.5.r update freshly by doing the following:

Download the 2.5.r update from our Downloads page: www.phoenix-sim.com/downloads_manual.htm to your my documents/PhoenixRC/downloaded updates folder.

After the file has downloaded to the required folder, please open your Start Menu > Programs > PhoenixRC folder, and run the shortcut “Install Updates Manually”

The 2.5.r update will install, and Phoenix will restart

If you now open the system > your controls > edit menu, you will see a new checkbox in the bottom-left of the menu called “Filter Channels”. Please make sure that this is enabled on the profile you use with your DX6i.

Best Regards

Phoenix Support

NOTE: You DO NOT have to roll back your updates or any other procedure. Just do as the email says and you will be flying "glitch-free" in minutes.

Hope this helps!

Doug

will give this a try today - it did seem that the earlier 'r' version was less prone to glitches with my DX6i

New Version S out today may address the problem with the new channel filtering for the DX6i.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

glitch...

The folks at Phoenix have put the "fix" in the new update 2.5s. I got an auto update today and checked the Phoenix website to see what they had done. The DX6i problem is addressed in this update so everyone that auto updates will now be good to go.

Hats off to the folks a Phoenix!
