I have an older phoenix disk, ver 1.05i, or j forgot. But if I install all the beta updates, once the full version comes out will I have to reload it, or will it just over right the beta versions?
I'm reloading my pc is why I'm wandering never had to do this with phoenix before.
Thanks

You have to update in increments, which are listed on the website.

I know that, maybe I did not ask the question correctly, But I want to know if I update it as far as the beta update will go, ie the newest update out, When it no longer is the Beta, but the Full version of Phoenix 2.5 will I need to redo the whole package, and not install beta updates but only the Real Updates?

Thanks

If you have 1.05J then you will need two updates from the Phoenix site. Version 2.0.n and Version 2.5.k. Install the version you have on disc, then update to 2.0.n then to 2.5.k. After 2.5.k is installed it will auto update to the latest version by itself (after you start the program) and allow you to update the model list with newer additional models.

It's not too time consuming other than the initial downloads from Phoenix. I found that waiting until much later in the evening gave me MUCH faster download speed than I got during the day.

Still not the awnser I was looking for.

I have the original phoenix disk. Ver 1.5j
I 2 of the Full next releases of phoenix as well. Downloaded and saved to CD-R, so I dont have to download them every time.

What I want to know, is:
When I install Phoenix, ver 1.5j + the other Full Version Releases + the Beta Updates of Phoenix 2.5.

When the Final version of Phoenix 2.5 comes out, not the Betas, but the Full version.

Will I have to Uninstall everything, then

1. Install Phoenix, + the All the Full release Versions.

Or, just install the final version of 2.5, over the betas?

Thanks Agin

As far as I know the releases that are out are not actually betas but previous release versions that enable update to the release version 2.5.k. Now to answer your question, you do not have to uninstall anything to get to the latest version. Load 1.05.j, then 2.0.n then 2.5.k (these are the only updates you need) then let the software do the rest. The rest of the updates that the software pulls for you are tweaks to the release version (2.5.k).

Don't go past 2.0n if you want it to be realistic.

IT's what I do.

I didnt see much difference between 2.0 and 2.5s but I agree, it requires tuning.
