With the right configuration can I get a Predator Condor to fly with a 5 blade head and 800mm blade setup? If you have experience please speak on tail authority also. What engine choice and gearing? Thanks

First, why the same length blade as in the two blade set-up?

You will note that the full scale 4 or 5 bladed H-500 has similar payload and power specs to the Bell Jet Ranger yet its rotor disc (blade length) is a lot smaller.

If they used the same length blades they woul not have the power to use their multiblade rotors effectively. Due to their smaller rotor discs they make less noise, less vibration and are able to get in and out of tighter spaces. The same with R/C.

I would not be surprised if 5 x 720mm blades would offer similar loading and performance as the two 800mm blade configuration.

So if it were me, I would use 5 x 720's and leave the gearing the same.
