I went to the LA3D last Friday and Saturday.

There were four Atoms present, owned by Becky, Finless, Growmaster, and myself.

I think I flew mine 9 times or so on Friday and several times today.

Skunkworx flew Finless's machine several times today also.

Beautiful flying machines with excellent handling and extremely low maintenance.

(Note the Bright, Yellow KBDD paddles on the one on the far right!)

And yes, I am biased...

Oh yah Robert. Sorry. Yah I had the yellow swift with the A123's.
Just scored a Compass Knight 3D electric so I might have to borrow the electronics out of it for a while.

Great Atoms guys.

Get that Atom back in the air I want to see it this weekend.

I got close to picking up another Compass 600E just before I scored this other 550 I got.

They are great birds. Did you get the 6s or 8s setup CompyMike?

Tradhunt

It is the 8s version. But I will probably put my Scorpion 4025-740 in it with a 9T pinion.

Ok that's gonna be nice. You'll probably have to mod the frame a bit so you can adjust the gear mesh as they are not adjustable.

But they have great power stock and I'm sure the scorpion will be even better.

You gonna run the stock esc as well or aftermarket.

Yah I will have to enlarge the side frames a little. I figure with the 740 KV scorpion and the 9T pinion the headspeeds won't be too crazy. Not looking for 2300 headspeed. Going to use my Castle HV85 esc.

You shouldn't have to enlarge the frames they are pretty wide. You will have to slot the motor mounting holes on the frame though so you can slide the motor to adjust the mesh.

Ya I ran the 85HV on mine when I had one but I was running the stock motor.

Yah that is what I meant. Slot the holes for the motor mount so it will slide forward
just a little.
I hear such great things about the Compass knight 600's. Fast cyclic like a 450
but stable like a 50 size heli. Can't wait to get it. No one at my club has one.
I guess it already has a 8 mm spindle. Probably run 4000MAH 4s Hyperions CX or
4200MAH 4s VX in Series.

Ya cyclic on Compass helis is pretty fast.

Its an 8mm spindle.

Should be some great packs. I ran FP 3700's and 4270's on mine.

What headspeed did you run?

Seems that the headspeed is going to be way over 2100 even at lower throttle curves.
