Yes it's a work of art and I would like to see more out there.

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

Anyone successfully setup a N9 with the Bonta head and v4 software? This will be the first time I've done a v4 setup and not used one of the preloaded config files.

If you run the stock bell cranks and have the balls on the servo arms at 10mm you probably need to run 70 or so Cyclic Gain (setup menu) versus 100. Mikado has a Cyclic Gain calculator on their web site at http://vstabi.de/wiki/index.php?title=Basic_geometry

Also, I would start with the Logo 600 preset and adjust the settings to match your N9. I friend converted his Fury Tempest and the heli flew wrong. It seems without loading a preset some hidden values are not set making the heli behave oddly. Ed's Fury would pitch up elevator when adding collective and pitch down when moving down on collective. The heli didn't track well when flying at high speed. The fix was to start with the logo 600 preset.

Finally, I've been messing with gyro tape and as thenewguy pics show the vbar works best when you use the metal plate. The vibrations from the motor are blocked and the heli hovers and flys much better with the metal plate and two pieces of medium size gyro tape.

Regards

Charles

I have a heli that I got from Carl himself about a month ago here on Runryder. This was my first fbl and I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

This has to be the fastest heli I have ever seen. It is just so much fun to fly. Definitely would be a shame if he did stop making it.

What I want to know is, why is the man that coined the phrase "Flybars are for pu$$y$" is flying with a flybar? You know you can't resist the joy that is a flybarless N9.

I'm actually building another one myself since I miss the one I sold last year way to much.

Makes sence.

The Total G is the only item on my x-mas list this year. I love my V-bar but Curtis always produces top notch stuff.
