Anyone successfully setup a N9 with the Bonta head and v4 software? This will be the first time I've done a v4 setup and not used one of the preloaded config files.

A few who have done it.

Chuckie
Bart B
thenewguy
myself

And there are several others, I just can't think of their screen names.

One of the important things about setting up the N9 with the V-bar is to use 10 mm servo ball placement. This is unless you modify the linkage geometry. I believe both Bart B and Chuckie have modified theirs.

Dig around the flybarless threads and you'll find some good info.

The universal settings with the V-bar work fine. like Jeff said, move the balls on the servo horns to 10mm and your pretty much good to go. I have done no special tweaking with mine and it flies like a dream.

Just PM Carl Bonta here on RR and ask him when he has stock. They are hard to come by.

Word is that he no longer makes the head. It was diappointing to hear because if you crash I'm not sure where you'll get the pitch arms. Everything else should be fine.

I'll clean it right after I fly the pig!

It would be interesting to know why the head is no longer available. This is such a great product, are people just not interested in it?

N9

The N9 with the Bonta head and the 4.0 software is amazing. Just got back from california where Todd Bennett got my N9 all dialed for me. This machine is so fast and just a blast to fly.

The Bonta head is excellent but what are the other options?

I've seen the Kasama head converted to FBL.

Yes they are running around in the rain.

Levi was dancing around one time around Disneyland saying, "I need more beer in my body"! What am I going to do??

Funny Jeff! For some reason I can see that happening.

I hope that Carl does not drop making this head or any other of his products. I hope us here on the N9 forums can rally support and show that we don't want it to go away.
