Just curious as to how using another method of tank dampening deals with the origin of the vibration which causes the foaming to begin with. It appears to only hide a symptom and not resolve the root cause. I am rebuilding mine and have balanced the fan, and have dialed indicated the clutch shaft run-out to .0015 as well as fan hub run-out to the same. I have modified the tank opening for which provided no reduction in foaming, so I am convinced that there is either one specific source of vibration or perhaps multiple causes - Until mine is back in the air the verdict is still out.

The vibration is from motor and tank is hard mounted with kasama tank mounts showing thru fuel . Yes there is possible vibrations if heli is not built correctly but after all is dialed in and balanced you will still have tank foaming and no way to get rid of motor vibes its a 90.All the talk about 700 smooth and other 90's smooth is the design of heli not quality of heli.The tank mounts are not hiding a problem this is why kasama recommends a fuel magnet I just like to not see vibes in tank . Also vibes in tank do not effect the way heli flies if it was a vibe from airframe it would let you know in flight .Im using VBar so it would definately show if airframe was the problem.

Nobody ever said that using Avant rubbers will resolve the "root cause" of vibration in the helicopter. It just stops the tank from foaming. If you want to remove the root cause of vibration in a .90, pull the engine.. x;

If you've got all of your stuff balanced then the problem would have to be somewhere else, right? Start looking at your adjustable bits. I feel like the starter shaft bearing block is probably one of most confusing parts of this helicopter. It has to be done right.. Don't tighten it down until you're sure that it's holding the start shaft STRAIGHT vertical.

I dial indicated my start shaft to 0 runout and made sure all was aligned . I feel that I'm not hiding any vibe issue after resolving all varibles before changing tank rubber .

The starter shaft is not that complicated to me I've had many Helis with hard mounted shaft it just needs to be rite

I appreciate your comments - hopefully this time around with greater attention to run-out and balancing all visible signs of vibes are history. Will post results next week after all the rain has quit!

tip.
Check that head o-ring holder's measurements are equal, mine were differing a bit and I ordered a new set of them to get best matching pair to be installed.
