Will run better with a Spartan/bls 251 combo or a 611/9256 or bls251 combo.
You can put the gyro on the front tray or in the rear or use the rear metal corner mounts to make a shelf over the elevator servo like I did, see my gallery for photos of that.
Moving the tail servo to the boom is not essential, but you can do it if you wish. You'd get better performance with a better gyro than with moving the servo to the boom. I flew with the servo in the stock location with the pushrod for a long time, just add some pushrod guides to eliminate flex and you're good.
Empty the tank and purge the carb out all the way before taking it home and you will be fine. I store mine in the house and smell nothing. Do a youtube search "how to start a Spectra-g" and you'll see my video which should help on how to fuel/defuel and start.
