Hello ppl,

a question i have a choice of getting a dsx9 but iam stuck in making a decision that's about:

Buying a MacGregor dsx9 from in wood for 422.59 Euros and be i think safe with the CE regulations.

Or buying from flying-hobby.com a limited edition for 419.66 Euros and they tell me its marked with a CE sticker but can we trust that?

my question here really is what would you guys buy?
is the limited edition really better then the normal dsx9 accept for the blacklight? and is it worth taking the risk to buy it and not be safe with CE?

And one more thing that really is bothering me is the gold colour of the limited edition

well thats a lot of questions right there haha.
Hope you guys could give a beginner in this hobby some advice.

Sorry for the bad English

Thanks

Deniz

Hi, the only DSX9 that Jr themselves say is legal in the EU is the Macgregor one, see this ;-
http://macgregor.co.uk/support/official-jr-letter.pdf
, there are Jr sets out there with CE stickers on that are not CE compliant, basically if it does not have Macgregor on the top of the set then chances are even if it has the CE sticker on it it is not, i have been to the far east and i quote "you want CE mark, you have graphic"

I now know how much money this hobby is going to cost
ALL OF IT!

If you buy any JR item from the UK and it has a MacGregors sticker, then you will have full warranty on that item.

IF the system is DSM2 then they are fully 100% compatible.

JR have an arrangement where they build the DSM2 under licence from Horizon/Spektrum. (Don't ask)

However, for the Japanese Home Market, they have developed DSM J. This uses FHSS technology and is totally incompatible with DSM 2.

As for Power outputs, the EU limit is 100mW (the DSX9 is typically around 80 - 90 mW) and the USA has a higher limit BUT the Spektrum/JR models sold over there have a theoretical maximum of 200 mW.
