I have a Blade CP Pro 2 and it was flying great and all of a sudden the tail quit.. I can't tell if it's the motor or the gyro but the gyro light comes on like it's locking into heading hold but the tail rotor does not spin at all.. Any ideas? Thanks

Yep, they sure do.

I have been through 3 of them this year alone...

1 just 2 wks ago....

I'll be switching to Bls out runner the next time...

Just order 1 or 2 spares and join the rest of us.

Not me

I've flown the cr*p out of my CP v2, probably 100 flights - all with the same tail motor. Still going strong.

With that said, Deanguy, your motor is most likely shot

Gnut you waited too long to go BL; Medusa went out of the RC business recently. Their BL tail motors are (were) the best. I doubt you can find one of their 12x30s now. What motor are you going to get for the tail?
Deanguy I'm the only one doing this, I think, but I put a brushed tail motor on the opposite side as stock (right side as you view from the rear). The motor gets cooled from the prop since it is pulling air over the motor. I use a GWS tail fin installed before and in front of a BCPP2 motor mount installed upside down. The brushed motors last forever for me because they never reach that boiling point that hurts a motor. Mitch is just plain lucky. Isn't that true Mitch?

I'll have to take your word for any luck, real or percieved, Bob

I will say this, after I heard everybody complaining about failed tail motors I ran out and bought me a spare. It's still in the package. . . .

Oh I forgot to mention that you are careful and precise when you put your hands on any of your stuff; hence my nickname for you 'the precisionist'. Could that account for some or your 'luck'?

Yeah they have a tendency to cause the tail to lose authority. Mine's been on for months and no problems yet!

I need helirehab before I'm livin under a bridge.
