First off, im looking at selling my nitro. im keeping all the electronics, but sell the engine heli and all starting equipment and 2/3 gallon of fuel. It has given me nothing but problems. I have never been good with nitro, even with the cars. I thought a heli would be different because of the larger engine...but i was fooling myself. Im NOT giving up on helis.

Anyway... Im looking at swift kit http://www.centuryheli.com/products...1¤tid=304
or
http://www.centuryheli.com/products...2¤tid=333

any thoughts on it?

Im still learning to fly, so im more concerned about flight time.

with combo 10 your looking at 5-6 min flight times but has more power uses 6S1p 4000mah - 5000mah

with nitro you could get 10- 15 min

if you want flight time consider combo 11 going with a 4S set-up using the 550 motor and 50/60 amp ESC
the batteries will be less expensive so you can buy more
4S1p 3700mah -4000mah

What nitro heli are you giving up on?
My two big heli's are a Century Hawk and a Century Swift. The Swift gets alot more air time. I'm not great with nitro motors.

Im aware of that, but im very limited with my nitro. When i do get it running theres always a problem i cant figure out with the tuning. Its a 25 min drive to my field and the guys there are mainly electric and its a major downer when i try to get a nitro running properly when everyone is electric. so its like, forget it. im sticking with electric.

Mike, its a raven 30.

I am not sure if it is allowed in this thread, but ill ask anyway. What would be a good price for my heli with engine, 1 manual and 1 electric fuel pump, 2 glow igniters "both with rechargeable batteries" glow plug charge lead w/ banana plugs, starer with starter shaft"non one way bearing, but is machined with threads in it so no starter cone is needed." The engine is an os32. That's all that i can think of for now. im thinking 200 to 250 for it all.

Note: I noticed i posted this in the wrong century forum, so it will be posted in the electric thread.
