Guys , This is my first Aurora and got it usued so please bear with me here as im shure this question get sasked alot, But were do you want to run the settings for just all around flying and some mild 3D moves. keep in mind I dont fly like Alan Szabo or anything. I did look at the post a few down from this and a guy asked the question how could he tame down the head froim where he was . J Bell wrote in that he is running g3 pg2 ma3 and that this helped smooth the machine out. This seems to be what you would call the active set up so wouldnt the active setup be really responsive as Those guys would need for extreme 3d. So again what would you guys reccomend for someone flying a 90 for the first time.

Thanks,Mark

I still say go for active. Dial in about 30% expo.

Active is really fast, but it's not so fast that it's uncontrollable.

If you get to the field and you find that it's too crazy for you, you can go into your swash mix (Swash AFR's) on your radio and lower the cyclic values to tame it to your liking.

3 years is enough time wasted. Taking a break for a while.

No, I've never flown it on Normal.

I was going to build my 1st programmable head using 'Normal', but someone talked me out of it.

I'd like to someday play around with the different settings, but
it's too much work readjusting ball links.

+1 for default "active" setting - don't let the name scare you - it's actually a really nice, balanced config.

+2 ^^ Active is what all the team pilots run as far as I know (Including myself) and it is an awesome fast, yet balanced and stable platform to work with.

I'm running the "stock" or "recommended" settings with only a change in the delta (I run 0 delta). It feels very nice and I really like the 0 delta setup. I will be playing with the ratios in the coming flights though

...now where was I, dh/dt = BS-dx/dt

go with active and use a bit of expo.
Stay away from CY Super stubz though. They make the machine track like poo. V paddles or Align 700 paddles work great

Im running a modified configuration of active, basically take the pitch arms and move them to the middle hole in the blade grip. Running mine with super stubz, and it tracks well.

Its going to be the pitch arm outer holes, and the middle set of holes on the grips. I believe PG2 and G2. It ads a bit of positive delta on the head and gives a bit more smoother feel.

Yes, that should produce a nice aggressive but stable feel.
