The rotary engine is the closest thing to a turgine you are going to get. There was alot of stuff hanging off the heli. It looks like a 50 size heli by the length of the tail boom. I wonder what type of HP ratings they are getting?

A perfect heli motor

as far as vibes are concerned, wheres the gas version.Minimal parts,so smooth, light weight, can produce some real decent power too.A powerful compact rotary would be so nice

Japan Made

I checked out the site of this engine. Very interesting. They are two versions. The NRG-20H for helis and the NRG-20P for planes. They also make 80cc, but I think this one would be for planes only.
This is the site

trecrider586 this is a radial engine and not a rotory.
I think is 200cc I'm not sure, that's why they call it the BIG 200

DNHP heli

That 200 is in a DNHP I didnt even know those were still made. I used to have one that looked just like a JR ergo 60-90

Dx7 With Ion Power Supply. Why use anything else.

I had to ask....
I just got a reply PDF from Nitto about their engines.
The glow variant is quoted as having approximately 3HP and weighing 1493grams.
The petrol variant is quoted at approximately 1.8HP and weighs 1800 grams. Petrol inludes the CDI ignition box.
Both are 19.75cc and the glow engine costs JPY 118,000. The Petrol engine is JPY 168,000. Neither include exhausts.

168,000 Yen is 2057 AUD for me to buy one. That`s more than the Spectra G cost.

It makes me wonder what market there aiming for with those prices; it certainly won’t be the average modeller, maybe the odd cameraship business or military

Probably you are right Peter.
AP company might benefit from it with no vibrations and long flights of 25min with a 500cc fuel tank.
$1300.00US for the airplane version and $1800.00US for the heli. Very steep.
Anyway here's the pdf I got also.

sorry guys didn't mean to get off track, but a rotary and a radial engine in a heli is pretty cool stuff.too bad they both cost out the azz.were these single rotor engines simular(mechanics wise )to the old mazda rx7 engines?

The rotary engines as designed by Dr. Wankel have the same working principle. Mazda and O.S. manufactured the engines under license from Wankel. I believe Wankel manufactured the NSU automobile in Europe back in the late 60's.

I remember it well, some said NSU stood for noisy slow and useless and that was a good description for the car,
