Does anybody use the Throttle Jockey Governor/Limiter on their Panteras. If so is the installation (magnets) pretty straight foward? Thanks.

I'm sorry, I meant the Mult-Gov, probably same installation methods. Just wanted to if the magnet installation is pretty much straight foward on the Pantera. Thanks again.

Here is a trick.
Stick both magnets together. Take a sharpie and mark the top magnet face. Now mark the bottom magnet "back side" still stuck together with a shapie. If you do it right you now have ID'd both polls of the magnets. Rough up the unmarked side of the magnets and rough up the two nice fan mounting holes a bit. Mix up some JB weld and apply the goo to the fan magnet mounting holes. Place the magents into the holes Sharpie side facing you, roughed side to the goo. I use a par of chopsticks to place the magnets into place.
What you have done is install the magnets so you have both polls are presented to the sensor and your also balanced. The sensor will only see one magnet. When you mounting the sensor make sure you "strain relief" the wires.

my two cents.

Doing pretty good. The Pantera is hovering fine, even in 15mph wind and gusting. Just trying to get used to it and breaking the engine in. Three tanks though it and everything looks fine. Probably ready to set the tail boom set screws and start some slow foward flight and figure 8s. Really stable in a hover. Probably will order the Multi Gov governor.

With three tanks thru her, you should be able to get off the rich kick and start clicking in the needle valve. The Pantera is a blast in the wind. I think it's more stable then my EVO90!
If you go with a MultiGov. Get the Pro version. Most of my ships have them. I like the automix funtion that the pro has. Thanks to JB's forward thinking. You even have a place for the mixture servo!
It's 45 and 10MPH winds today. Peeeerfict flying weather for the BBC's.
Cheers

Billm, you use JB Weld instead of epoxy? It holds better than epoxy? Just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

I was thinking on the lines of the typical two part epoxy.

I have thrown a few mags. with epoxy but so far I have not lost any with JB Weld. Go with JB Weld it is a bit harder.

Use JB Weld. But please prep the surface Before you "glue" the magnets in place.
