My Posts This: Topic Forum | this is something that I really find amusing . . .I'm an agnostic - just like Darwin.
Darwin never proved God did not exist - nothing of the sort. All he did was to call into question of the claims made by the religious texts. And it was this calling into question that made him realise that, from his own judgement call, that they can't be true.
This now, unfortunately for all, gets a response from the religious communities in trying to, how shall I say, discredit, missinterpret, missread what Darwin said. One of these silly maneuvres is creationism. An utterly poor, illogical, and pitiful attempt at trying to repair credibility - where there wasn't really any in the first place.
It doesn't matter one iota if "God" exists or not. He has, on the face of blunt evidence, never interfered with human affairs. All human technological progress have been made by ourselves - without any super natural intervention of any sort.
A more brutal look at it is how the concept of a "God" has been used to control people, dominate people, subjugate people to certain rules/rituals/rites/justifications for acts that are utterly attrocious. |
