My father-in-law and I are getting my oldest his 1st heli. We decided to get a Blade mCX. Has anyone ever used a Trex 250 carrying case (the one w/ the window) with an mCX? I don't want my little one to use my X9303, so I am getting the RTF version. My concern is if the Tx will fit in the case with the heli. Has anyone ever tried this before? If not, can someone give me the measurement the dimensions for the Eflite RTF radio that comes with the mCX? Thanks in advance. C.J.

Im not sure how the mcx would fit in there, its so small you could prolly put 4 in the trex 250 case....the radio is small also, you could do a custom foam in there and cut it however you like it, and you could make places in there for .... Ummm... about 300 Lipos for the mxc.... IT is WAY smaller than the 250...

Harbor Freight has some decent aluminum clad boxes for under $30.00.
I use one to carry my Dx7 and I'm sure the MsR would fit with the transmitter.

I must ask what may seem like a dumb question...

Have you not just considered using the original mCX box? It does have a carrying handle and there's slots for additional heli batteries (5 I think!) not to mention slots for the AA batteries.

Tach.

Its for the kiddo, so I wanted a neat little case for it. But, yes I considered the original box.

Lowes sells a case with the pluck out foam that will be big enough. If you are careful with a knife or razor blade you could cut it out pretty close so everything has a custom fit. You will also have room for the transmitter and many batteries and probably the charger too. The heli is so small it will only use about 1/8 of the box, (the blades fold up).

Honey, I just need this one more thing and then I'm set..
