Thinking about converting my 700N to electric, and having my 600LE my only Nitro bird because it is not so thirsty!!

I will probably run 6s 5000mah Zippy and Turnigy packs, everyone with 700E's what kind of flight times are you getting?

It really depends on several variables, but to get a rough estimate the most important are,

Flying style?
FBL or Paddles?

I dont do any 3D, mostly FFF, flips, loops and rolls. Flybarred, stock align paddles and blades. I get 8+ minutes on my 700N with no header.

Rough guess, but I would guess 7+ minutes, might even be 8 or even 9 minutes of sportflying.
Really depends on HS, blades and how much pitch you are using.

Yeh! lets say sport flying with a 1700 HS and +- 11 of pitch and the new 45C batteries. I can see you getting a 7 min flight time and useing 85% and a good efficienct motor like an X-Era and a Kontronics HV 80 is a must have for a rock solid Gov flight! CC still working on theres and it aint there yet with the big boy toys like 600 to 700 form.

Just finished KDE conversion with Xera 4035-600.
I fly FAI, so I have to use flybar. With gear ratio 10.93, I did rushed A schedule and about 7 min. About 4 min hover and 3 min FFF.
It wasn't windy at all and I charged back 3500mAh to Zippy 30C 6S X2 5000mAh packs.

I think I can do regular routine for 8.5min (5min hover & 3.5min FFF) for about 4000mAh usage.

I dunno Tony. The CC's were good enough for our Team Championship winning 2009 FAI F3C team, Curtis included. I know Dwight and Wayne have been thoroughly pleased with the governor's performance on their models. Curtis must be as well because he'll only run what works. What part of it has not worked well for you?

You can try asking in the video section on the HF forum as they have the video of him flying there. (from Heli Invasion 2009)

Please post a video of the 6+ min flight flying hard 3D. With the setup you posted, your average draw for that entire flight is about 36A...thats either the most efficient motor Ive ever heard of. Most of the high power helis Ive seen in the 700 range average about 60A doing hard flying...

All about the weight, I do it regularly on my Logo 700, so does my friends with same Logos

HK4035-500 or Xera 4030-470, 2000rpm, SAB Red Devils 690

550-650 mah/minute.

It must be the weight. I am getting only about 5.5 minute flights on an e-stratus with a kontronic 32-12 motor and 5000Mah TP packs on 12s. With a powerjazz and a GY611, as well as a 3000Mah receiver pack, the heli is very heavy (alhtough I don't have a scale so I have never weighed it).

I'll have to get it on a serious diet this winter and see if I can get the extra 1 to 2 minutes of flight time.

I have two TR 700E FBL. The first runs 2250 HS and get's 4.5 mins.
The second runs 2000 HS and get's 6 mins. The first is kind of radical though!
