As for Britains, I cannot really say as I have not done a detailed analysis.
There are different levels of NMW in the UK, depending on your age. The current rates (from 1 October 2009) are:
• £5.80 - the main rate for workers aged 22 and over
• £4.83 - the 18-21 rate
• £3.57 - the 16-17 rate for workers above school leaving age but under 18

So you see the wages aren’t that good unless you are an MP, we pay high tax rates and we are also deducted from are earnings to help run the health scam sorry I meant scheme.

I think we have hijacked this thread and need to get back on track don’t you think

Are you saying 80% of the population in the UK are minimum wage earners??

In my post, I am referring to the 80% of the population that would be considered middle class, excluding the top 10% that include the corporate rich, and the bottom 10% that would be your minimum wage earners (who would still have access to our relatively low cost post secondary education system and the free medical system).

Here in Canada, the minimum wage is set by each provincial government body, not by the federal government. I believe Quebec has one of the highest and B.C. (where I live) is the lowest at $8.00. It ranges across the provinces from $8.00 to about $9.25.

P.S. Quebec is one of the provinces with the highest taxes, but also probably have one of the best health care systems (they opted out of our subsidized federal one many years ago, and set up there own) and ditto for their education system, which is far superior to the one we have in B.C. or Alberta (two that I am intimately aquainted with).

Wow, that is one ugly canopy IMHO. Looks like an old X-Cell canopy with mumps.

But a creative paint job can mask a lot of inherent ugliness, much like makeup on some women.

Yep Members of Parliament is right, they’ve been alot of bad press lately about them claiming expenses they shouldn’t for allsorts of things and are now been made to pay it back, well the ones that have been caught out have I feel a lot more will be found out soon

I agree this is more greed - pigs at the trough so to speak. But for me the bigger pigs are the unscrupulous corporate execs.

I would bet that the total amount these MP's scammed would all add up to chicken feed, in comparison to all the billions of dollars in bonuses the CEO's and the other executives of the various companies our tax dollars bailed out last year, were ready to pay themselves at the end of the year this time. This was before the press blew the wistle on it and Obama stepped in and put a stop to it, just last week or so it was an unreal amount!!

Personally, I love the shape of the stock ones. For me they have a much better, more modern 2010 look.

So I am getting mine from my supplier here in Canada i is stock available.
And yes mine comes the kit, the muffler, the engine and the blades. A bargain for sure.

hehehehe, maybe so Peter, could be luck or could be from shopping around.
You have to balance it out. The best deal, the best service, parts availability.
Do a search and find the best.
Leaving in Canada sometimes has its advantages and of course disavantages.

Cheers

radikal

so if you had got your mate to bring it back from canada for you would you have instructed him to pay the VAT and Import duty when he arrived at Heathrow? what about the excess bagage? you need to remember this all adds up and if you aviod it and get nabed as you should there will be a heavy fine as well and i would say no friend any more.

some times it worth paying for somthing if you want it and if the supplyer sells enough then you will get a good spares back up as well, if you buy abroad why should your exclusive importer bother stocking all the spares just so you can order a set of damper rubbers when they where out and take all the abuse for not having them even though the model was purchase else where.

lets grow up a little gentlemen, we all want good service and a fair deal and your right to moan about the country and whats wrong about it goes out the window if you are avoiding tax and vat which is what the country needs to get it out of this reccecion.

how about we get back onto the Helicopters and how great they are. i am sure thats why you are all on this forum right!

TILBO.

"tax and vat which is what the country needs to get it out of this reccecion."
Man- I think you drank the cool aid!!??
Do what they tell you, sheeple.
The bottom line is that most of us need to do everything we can to keep our head above water financially & still enjoy this hobby. The Gov'ts of our resptective countries have screwed us more ways that we care to remember. I'm sure all of us make rationalizations everyday on a host of other areas, from speeding to income reporting. The point is that people have different ideas as to what constitutes a "serious" breach of the law & most won't feel bad about avoiding taxes on some toy helicopter when our gov'ts have screwed us by giving money by the billions to the fraudster bankers.
BTW- I really like the heli & will get one when they show up in the for sale section.

Whats the differances in the LT and HD heads?

From what I can tell the HD has metal mixing arms. Hardly constitutes the $50 dollar price difference.

So why would anyone want the HD if you have to find blades and sleeves that will fit, it’s far easier to buy the LT and get blades that will fit of the shelf isn’t it?

To clarify the difference in the heads, here is a copy of my post in the Century Forum:

Quote
..... but there is TWO big differences between the blade grips on the HD (Predator) head and those on the LT Radikal and 50NX, which related directly to the relative size of the blades that each were initially designed for.

The blade grip spacing on the HD (Predator) grips were designed for 690mm to 820mm blades that use 5mm blade bolts. The LT (Raven) grips were designed for the use of 600mm to 620mm blades that generally use 4mm blade bolts.

So, if you are using the HD head, be sure whatever blades you get can accommodate 5mm blade bolts.

Next is the difference in blade grip spacing. The HD head has a 17mm blade grip spacing to accommodate some of the larger blades that may have 16mm blade roots. On the other hand, the LT grips have the standard 14mm grip spacing that is the standard blade root thickness of 600mm to 620mm blades.

So when using 600 to 620mm blades with the LT grips, both the 4mm blade bolts and the 14mm blade roots that are standard with these sizes of blades, will work out fine.

The problem with the HD grips with these size of blades, is that you will need 2 x 1.5mm spacers on each grip to insure proper fitment, and you will also have to be sure that your blades can be used with the larger 5mm blade bolts, or use a 4mmID x 5mmOD bushing in the grip for use with an appropriately long 4MM blade bolt.

I would expect that Century will provide these spacers in future kits with the HD head and maybe some bushings and longer 4mm bolts, or something else, to allow the grips to use 4mm blade bolts, for use with all the different blades available in this size.

For now, any Canadian hobby shops that purchase the Radikals with the HD head, will have these items included by Leisure-Tech Products
