Try the Hyperformance 4mm flybar conversion kit. Basically it's just a 5mm to 4mm conversion tube and 4mm flybar.

Hyperbar conversion
T700 Flybar
4mm Stubz
710mm SAB Red Devils

falls into the uncontrollably fast category

I like the Hyperformance stuff, but... save the $27 on the HyperBar. My guess, most of those reading this have purchased a 90-size set of Radix blades. They come with the washers that the N9 needs to make the blade fit in the grip, but also a 5mm to 4mm bolt diameter reducer / spacer. These spacers, a T-Rex 700 flybar and your choice of paddles are all you need to make your own.

After I read "mlevings" response on this thread, http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t541261p1/, I made my own.

Drill a hole in the spacer to allow the set screw to bite on the flybar. Short work and a bunch cheaper.

-Drew

ps: For those wondering, the flat spots on the T-Rex flybar match up perfectly on the N9.

Great idea, but the tube serves a purpose. It supports the entire rod thought the seesaw.

Soon we'll be hearing about how your flybar broke in flight.

Don't take my word for it, bend a paper clip back and fourth a few times and watch it break. Maybe an extreme example, but same process.

Totally AGREE. It needs the extra support.

And since the end of the flats stick out beyond the cage and are unsupported, is the exact place I snapped one..

IMHO the best combo is the hyperbar conversion with the flybar and align paddles with the Botos mixers from Fueled by Hate. It is LIGHTNING fast. I thought my FBL bird had quick response but the flybarred bird is giving it a run for its money.

...and that's what I originally thought, but look at my last pic, the 4mm vs 5mm flybars pic. There is a wear spot on the USED 5mm flybar that shows where the seesaw bearing contacted the 5mm flybar. Do you see any contact marks between the bearing marks?

Also, the "flats" ends DO NOT stick out past the flybar cage.

IF it fails, I will update this thread (or forum), until such time....

...and FBH Mixers are in the mail....

Align paddles. Check out Matt Botos N9, it has a T-Rex 700 flybar on it with Align white CF paddles.

I have been wondering about this also. One thought i had is the other 90s do not have this support. If the flybar did it would rub on the inside of the seesaw. But id dose not, that is why it is bearing supported. So dose it need the support?

ok I did the 4mm 700 Trex flybar and used a brass tube all the way through the cage. I have a little play flybar cage this cant be normal or is it? It flew great but the play is bothersome. I am assuming the Hyperformance has no play.

I did the same but used two brass spacers. mone flew great no play. I also put on the Boto mixers. The heli is fast to start and then hits its top speed rool rate. But wow dose it start fast. It is pretty stable also.

I am thinking of moving the to the inside hole on the fly bar mixer. Dose anyone else run 4mm flybar and use the inside hole?

It is super fast on the middle hole. If I went to the inner hole I might turn it into a post hole digger by the time my old fingers realize what going on..

Another thing,

Make sure you use the short ball with the 1.6 mm spacer.

You will have to "reduce" your cyclic in the radio, and adjust the links for zero pitch at center stick.
