I agree with you guys the synergy was THE best heli I ever owned. The only reason I quit flying it was a very expensive crash. Once built correctly the only thing that will break it is terra firma. The Trex i fly now is a good machine to beat on but does have issues if you fly it alot. I loved my Synergy, I like my 700

Itīs a model for pilots who want a bit more exclusivity than the average machine
I agree, if you write "a bit" in capital letters....
Put the N9 f.ex. next to a Henseleit TDR an I guess everybody would agree, that the N9 looks "a bit less exclusive"
Donīt get me wrong, this is no bashing: I owe the N9 and after investing in just about all of the Hyper upgrades and converting it to FBL I really like it, just donīt like the quality of many standard parts and the spare prices

I think I know the problem - it would seem your build skills are not good enough for Align machines LOL! Maybe I can give you some pointers next week

This is interesting because myself and wife switched to Synergies this year. We had Aligns(600's at first and then I got a 700), and I flew a N9 around and that was it! The 700 was sold soon there after. Don't get me wrong, the 7 is a cool machine, but it has it's quirks, and I cannot imagine switching at all, unless it's a Rave 90, but there would have to be a distinct or desperate reason. I have the 450 Rave, and have seen the ENV 90, so I know it's built well, but when you get a Syn, your buying an investment to flying.. A 700, ehhh.. It's another machine to me... LOL

The building was fine for me, as we purchased the Hyper parts, with the exception of the flybar conversion.. That in itself, took alot of the issue out of building it correctly, but you still have to take your time and there are some things that building Aligns, you will not know. So there is a learning process involved, if you haven't built a helicopter of that ccaliber.. But once it's built right and setup right.. Those things are amazing!

Someone asked me recently, what will happen with me when the Rave 90 comes out? And my response was simply, I love the Rave(I have a 450), but unless something happens where Synergy folds, I will be flying Syn's!

It does take time to learn the in's and outs of the machine, but that's pretty much any heli.. And yes, I agree with everyone else, if your crash prone, the Synergy isn't for you! Maybe, cut your teeth on say a 600, get comfortable and smooth with some maneuvers, then step up to the Cadillac! The big beast that purrs... And have someone help with the building if this is your first time building one and you have someone around that knows about them. Ask some tips...

It's not the machine at all, because those things are like tanks! But if you can't build it, of course it's going to be nothing but a headache.. My first build, I took for granted because I can "throw together" a 700 or 600 in probably 8 hours, but those are like plug and play, a 21st century plastic(in this case fiberglass or carbon) fantastic.. You have to "build" the Synergy.. For en'masse the 700's and 600's are cool, but the Syn to me, is a much more precise machine to fly.. You can flip flop it like a 7 if you do some lightening, but even when you lighten it, it's like an arrow, straight and true. No weird tendencies from what I have noticed in flying either of mine.

But, this machine is just that.. And yes, I wish they would revamp the pricing on the gears and a few other everyday crash parts, but, the thing is, that I know the quality is there with the parts and the kit. It's on me whether I am able to build it correctly and make it fly well.. But, I think a lot more kit's would be sold, if just the parts were lower. The kit itself, could remain the same, but the replacement parts on a few things, whew! It's like ouch!!! LOL!

For the dial indicating, dude... LOL! Get a Hyperhub! Save yourself all of that and be done with it.. Same with the Hyperdrive.. It's expensive to buy the first one, but after that, just get tubes.. Those are cheap! Figuratively speaking of course.. I can't stress how the Hyper stuff makes it easier to build. The SE blade grips that come on the newer kits are nice though.. Very nice, so if you were to buy a new kit today, I would just keep those on there, though the hypers do have a little hole in them that you can grease your thrust bearings without taking the complete head apart..

But we love ours to death.. It will be nice to see when the N5 comes out what the price point will be..

Every time I fly I loose more hair! LOL

LOL, thanks guys!

But, it is the truth that it's an investment IMHO.. Your investing your cash(lets face it, nowadays, it's not a cheap kit.. There are very few that are over a grand now) and your time. Time, is just as, if not more valuable than cash. At least for me it is. It takes time and patience to get them right. But, those puppies fly like nothing else I have flown(including my Vigor when I had it) before!

And BadEnergy- LOL! From what I remember reading some of your posts, yours my friend, LOL, is an addiction! He He He! But, an addiction on the right machine for sure!!!

It would cost $30,000 to $100,000 just for basics of a mold and then the machine so you would have to sell a ton of them to pay for the equipment.
That pricing you have there is very incorrect, moulds are expensive to make but no where as expensive as that, the max you would pay for the crown gear mould is $5000 which is a very high estimate. reach toothbrush mould is quite different it fuses different materials together and has to make millions of toothbrushes so the mould has to be very hard not to wear out.

Well I agree, It was just a figure of speech. I don't build tools but I knew the price of those. I am sure though that synergy has outsourced the crown gear to a molding company somewhere and the mold thye have probably cost them more like what I said due to it make be 10 cavity. Just giving a little insite on how expensive it is to mold just one part. It is a little out of most peoples reach and the saving would not be worth the investment.

Fly it like you stole it!
