I bought the motor and esc that is a Scorpion (rebranded MA Furion) setup NIB from Rons South. It rn well for a while then it started to glitch and when I took it apart to move the ESC forward one of the Capacitors fell off. FYI, it has never been wrecked and the esc had aobut 20 flights on it.

I called Ron's and they did not have one in stock and the guys were on their way to IRCHA. I called MA and they gave me the number to the distributor they use who is in Cali. I was told that their tech was on vacation for a week. I waited a week and sent it to them. It has been almost 2 months and I just got a message two weeks ago that they had completed their move ??? (over 2 weeks) and would start working on items returned to them in the order they were received.

It is coming up on 2 months now and I am curious if this is what others have experienced or if this is out of the norm?

Thanks

Lejon

Update on warranty work on Scorpion 60amp

they repaired the controller and sent it back without charge. I got it yesterday which was 6 days short of a month since their email about putting it in the queue. Since the week after IRCHA it has been with them.

Just glad to have it back. It goes back into the MinAir 450 this weekend.

Scorpion 45A v2

Interesting as I purchased a brand new Scorpion 45A V2 ESC here in the UK and it was glitching badly from day 1 after installing into my trex 450. Tried it out of the heli too and max range with aerial down was 10 meters, fully extended 30 meters before bad glitching. (Using 35MHz in UK). Have sent it back to importer and not had a reply yet, still waiting. I am wondering if it could be the same problem.

jetpack

I attached the picturs some time ago to send to some friends and now can't get rid of it!
Its not me, but is a Swiss chap a couple of years ago, who jumped out of a plane with the wings folded, opened the wings and flew across the Channel (France to England) I think with the 4 model jet turbines attached. Thought it looked rather cool if not mad!

Jetpack

hahaha ... great shot and great story.

A friend has been wanting to get a Turbine for his heli, now I can tell him where to strap it for the real feel of flight.
