My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Everything was working fine, then all of a sudden the "C" button on the keyboard doesnt work anymore!! The "C" on the keyboard shifts between fixed/chase view. Moved the mouse up to the top to the view and it is locked in the ground view and will not let me change it. What happened and what can I do to correct the problem??

If it doesn't fly sell it!

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Have you changed flying fields lately? I haven't used 3.5 in a while but soem of the fields the chase view won't work on. I don't think you can use chase view on photo fields. Also G5 is coming out and there will be an upgrade disk available to make your 3.5 a G5. Chuck

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		All the fields you fly in RealFlight that aren't photofields are rendered virtually. Nothing is real. All those fields' elements are CGI. Changing viewpoints while flying in them is easy for home 'puters.

But RF photofields are built from actual photographs. The only parts that are virtual are the elements you don't see (which are added later) -- the ones you can crash into, like the trees and the wind socks. And the ground.

The amount of memory & processing power required to allow you to fly from the cockpit in a photofield is way past the capabilities of most home 'puters.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		To fix the problem after you press the "c" key, try pressing the ESC (escape) key. If that doesn't work, press the ALT-V keys together. That will bring up the menu for you to View menu to toggle the chase mode to off. Hope that helps.

Huh? Are you saying something needs to be reset??

Changing Views in G3 (whether with the C key or the drop-down menu) works in virtual fields -- and doesn't work in photofields. Pretty straightforward, no?

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I'm saying click the View menu and deselect the undesired view. It is only an issue when someone toggles a different view by accidentally pressing the "c" key - not an actual problem. The "fix" is telling someone how to get back to where they want to be.

Obviously this person was within a virtual field, otherwise he would not be asking the question. Pretty straightforward, no?
