I tried the 5.6 ohm 1W resistor, there is no spark at all but it doesn't arm, anyone else having this issue with the 5.6 ohm resistor?

That was strange. It is working perfectly for me with a 5.6ohm resistor.

Are you shure it is the right value of the resistor? Have you checked with a ohm-meter?

na I haven't tested, I don't have a ohm meter.

It says on the packet 5R6 1W 5%. Does this not necessarily mean its 5.6 ohms?

Yes it should but sometimes things are not the way they should...
Just a thought of a possible source of error as it did not work for you.

CRCR,

Maybe try a 5R 1 watt resistor (5ohm) or 5R1 (5.1 ohm).

Cheers,

Or just throw on some EC5s spread that power across the bullet, not much of a spark and so much contact area not much of a concern really.

I used Deans and CC 6mm bullets on my 10s L600. It burned through them pretty regularly. I switched to Anderson Power Poles and it is a non-issue now. I never get arcing. Seriously, they are a great way to go.

Do you solder the Anderson plugs, or just crimp?
