My fuel tank plug hole is really small, the cap with fuel lines and stuff is a lot bigger than the hole. If the hole isnt opened there is no way the cap will fit so I can lock it down. Is this right and if so how do u in large it for the cap to fit.

unscrew the two screws in the cap and stick it in. you can apply some lub around the cap.

Roger's Crash Counter: 09 last dated 1 Sept 2009. Why I can't do 3D?

okay just looked at it again, the hole is almost 5mm smaller than the back plate the two screws go into, it looks like the didnt open the hole big enough in the manufacturer process. There is no possible way to put the plug in without opening it some home. Any ideas?

plug is 20mm at the smallest diameter, the fuel tank opening is 15mm diameter. Can someone check theres and let me know please

no need to check that is obviously wrong, looks like your tank molding was screwed up. Weird. The tank has a neck to it and its outer diameter on mine is 26mm. Is there someone drunk in charge at the Kasama production facility?

That is a bit rude don't you think? No company, and I mean NO company, has 100% quality control.

I am joking however it doesn't make much sense to me how stuff can be produced by CNC, or moldings, and yet have totally unique size like someone miskeyed numbers into a machine and ran off a bunch of parts.
I've had missing or extra parts before in heli kits of course. This is a bit different.

I have some more build questions, do I need to put all the supplied gearbox grease in the gear box? or just enough to cover the gears?

Next, how do u keep the bearing on the torque tube from slipping and cutting through it? My bearings are not very snug on the shaft and was wondering if people are putting CA or something to secure them?

I will always fly kasama after this kit there are so many things I love, every part has had everything covered, and I would consider it almost perfect for my idea of a perfect heli.

Manual states that you need to apply a drop of supplied grease on four quadrants of the spiral whilst turning. Manual page 38.

Fender Bean, regarding the bearings on the
tail shaft, I marked where they are supposed to
be located, then put a little electrical tape
on either side of the bearing so it wouldn't move
when installing it in the CF tube. Spray some silicon
spray on the bearing and inside the tube and you will
have no trouble with the arrow or shaft or drive shaft

Is this fun or what :)......

thats not what I ment the bearings are not very tight on the shaft therefore the shaft could spin inside the bearing and wear through the tube. The bearing should be tight enough for the inner ring of the bearing to turn with the shaft.

What I have done on every single one of my Align torque tubes is put a drop of med CA to secure the bearing inner race to the tube. This keeps the bearing from sliding as well as the inner race spinning on the tube. I will be doing the same on my SRIMOK.

I just changed shafts on mine after exploding
the CF tail with a strike Believe me when
I tell you that hell will freeze over before the
shaft bearings wear out the shaft. All those two bearings
do is keep the shaft in real close center. That
shaft won't bend and is very, very straight. The play
between the bearings and the shaft is a no worrier,
believe me. It is less than a 1/64" clearance. I know
this because the difference between a 2018 arrow and
a 2118 arrow is a 64th and the 2118 doesn't come close
to fitting. For future reference, if you ever need to
change the shaft, cut it to 778mm and you can use a
2018 to 2020 arrow. The last of the numbers is the
thickness of the arrow (xx18) with a (xx20)being a little
thicker wall and really stiff.

For future reference, if you ever need to
change the shaft, cut it to 278mm and you can use a
2018 to 2020 arrow.
Do you mean 778mm ?? I calculated arrow shaft needed to be 777mm. The bearings need anchoring with a thin smear of CA or blue Loctite same as the Align TT.
