Had a chat with Graupner folks at the Jet Power Messe two weeks ago,
no exact release date for the Solid State known so far, maybe around spring next year.

Pricing: not known yet.
Just guessing, I'd expect the price to be in the range of today's Uni 2000 or slightly above.

Cheers!

Sorry,
forgot to mention this one before:
Within the news catalog for 2009, http://www.graupner.de/filerootdir/...heiten_2009.pdf
(Caution, > 26 MB!) on page 35 you get some impressions of the "Solid State" mech.
In case you need some translation from german to english, drop me a mail.

Cheers!

Thanks Thilo, having thoughts to buy a Graupner NH 90 and convert it to electric, still not shure yet which mech to use, doesnt really matter due most mech today are suitable for electro conversion, as an example to that is mine Hirobo Panther with a metal structure mechanic, due the weight is high compared to a carbonframe it still
flies superb and for a good while with 4300 Mah Batteries.

Cheers

An example of an e-conversion I did about 1 1/2 years ago,
starting with a Graupner Uni Expert 98 mechanic, upgrading it to a Uni 2000 (well, it's the stronger main gear on the Uni 2000 that makes the difference).
Made my own Carbon frame to have a bit practical battery mount (2x5s5000 Kokam), built a motor mount and that basically was it.
Just out of curiosity I converted to a flybarless setup, using the AC-3X system from Stefan Ploechinger.
Since I had the fuselage, designed to hold a Uni Expert or 2000, sitting around for a while, the mech. ended up in there.

Some pictures within this thread (I apologize for the german writing there, just happens by nature ) might probably be of interest:
