I wont disagree with ya their, to each his own, Im not a troll just slapping down some talk, the thread started about how MA dont sell on the classifieds and that is faults.
the thread started as a hit toward MA and I disagree with the topic starter.

MA's still have a huge need by many pilots, with that said Align has its place and I have already said thanks to Align for what they have done for me in this hobby making it so cheap for me to fly, cheaper than even align.

When I crash the heli I can still built it back and done cheaper now for me, align you crash you might as well buy a new kit.
Of coarse that depends on how hard you crash, but good pilots crash hard most of the time.

Again to each his own, but I am saying when a fair priced MA goes up for sale it dont last long unless they are asking more than what you would pay for an align.

Now when the new MA's come out which they will I cant wait to see what happens then.
MA knows they need to compete with the hype of align and again I like that as well.
But MA will never go anywhere but up now they have too.
Again thats good for MA owners too.

OK,,,SO WHAT, IM ADDICTED, WHATS YOUR POINT?

I just want to say that I have one of the first 600Ns and I haven't crashed it yet. The only things I've replaced are the dampeners (and yes I've checked the links, they are fine, even had members at the field check them). Now, I also have a Stratus! Beautiful machine and unfortunately, it's my shelf queen. I do have a few parts piled up but not enough for a "good" crash. To the OP, I agree with what was said earlier, ask the people who are selling them and each one will you give you a different answer. My Stratus is a beautiful machine and I love it but I only take it out every now and then. Currently though, I'm flying my Aurora/700N hybrid (Advent). Ok the frame is Align quality, but it flies like an Aurora. I can honestly say after doing this mod, it is a wonderfully flying machine. My Stratus is not as fast/crisp, but is more stable (it's heavier) and predictable. I thought my Stratus was the most precise flying machine I've ever flown, but that precision is matched by my Advent. Further, I'm more than willing to bet that if I played with the settings on the Avant head, I could get it feel like the Stratus. Anyway, I'm digressing. I will end with this, I will get a second hand stratus when I get the cash and I hope MA stays around. They are awesome machines, but man, they need to figure out how to lower their prices.

Guys;

My last heli was Stratus (don’t mentioned about the price I spend) 2 years ago. Now I just back to this heli and just bought Trex600. After 6 flights, I am in the forum and LHS to look for used MA heli now. Yah, MA parts is not cheap but they way it fly you cannot compare it with others. Silky smooth and track like on rail!!!

And you may sometime find you pay too much I was pretty disapointed last week when I found it was not possible anymore to order directly from minair Compared to my LHS in Canada, even comparing change rate, shipping fees, customs fees, taxes and all the rest, it was a lot cheaper.

It's sad but those bird are not easily available in Canada and the one that stock some/most of parts charge 30% more The other ones have no inventory and order the parts only when asked for. Worst, I've ordered one time from a LHS that had my order for a full month before he passed the order to is supplier. He said that way he accumulate order in the month and have better shipping price. That made my order takes 2 full months to deliver. Considering the summer is not that long up here, I would have prefer to know this practice and order directly from US

Frebou;

Your situation is not that bad. Here in Malaysia, supply is monopolize by single supplier and priced are sky high. I used to buy part from US or HK. Some time down for weeks just wait for parts.

Guys... I just found my previous Stratus. The owner is not really fly it and put in store for collecting dust. I offer him a price and he agree to re-sell it back to me.... I will pick it up in few days and I am back to MA. Another proudly owner for MA (but not proud for the MA price)!!!

"align you crash you might as well buy a new kit."

BS.

And, if you crash a Stratus you will pay nearly as much as an Align kit just for the repairs. The Align 700N flies very well. There are tons of experienced pilots flying them and love them. They sell a lot for good reasons.

I am sorry but the comment " I don't even consider the 700 a "real" 90" is the most ignorant thing I have heard all day. What would you call it then lol.

Most people including me cannot justify paying $100 for a boom/torque tube and tail rod when the same parts for a trex are half the price...

Yes you can.

FLY HARD FLY FAST DON'T CRASH

Lynch mob just real heli pilots with real heli's that fly longer better than align.

Cheap price for a cheap heli, but my money is on a heli that flys as good in 10 years as it did the same as it did first out of the box.

Many have admitted the align does not fly in the air as solid as some other heli's and what do you expect when you pay around 500 bucks for just a heli kit??? I say cheap plastic and cheap parts that dont perform as well as companies like MA that take tons of pride in quality, and to me quality is the name of the game not quantity.

And who give a crap about how many parts or how easy this, this hobby is all about tinkering with your heli's and having fun with them, frankly I would get bored if a heli only had couple parts to assemble it.

OK,,,SO WHAT, IM ADDICTED, WHATS YOUR POINT?

In that case, stick with the Stratus/Fury. The new Furion is meant to have a "couple parts" to assemble it. What I've found in my experience with RC helicopters is that, I don't really care how many parts the model has, however, I do care about how easy/difficult it is to work on it. I can drop the engine out of my "cheap POS" aligns in 10 minutes. I changed my OS 50 hyper in my 600N in 30 minutes. Try that with a Stratus.

MA is definitely synonymous with quality, but seriously, every helicopter (and company) has its place. Not everyone needs/wants a helicopter that will fly the same for 10 years. Most of us will have crashed them well before that and I'm willing to bet, the most of us would have moved on to something new/different by then. I guess what I'm saying is, not everyone is in it for the same reasons as the next flyer.

My Stratus still flies great and I'm keeping it as a memento, but truthfully, I've moved on from it. And yes to my "cheap POS" Align (Aurora head )!

We are diverting...

hello.

My goal was not to start another MA vs ALIGN fight. I am myself flying a MA Stratus and a T700 and I confirm that the MA flys Way better but each one has its own interest, depending of what you want to achieve.

I was just highlighting the fact that some guys are trying to sell these amazing 1100 USD machines in great shape for less that 400 USD and seem to have difficulties to sell... That was my point.

Thanks

Yannick.

I couldnt even get money for my Stratus'es I had (3 of them), ended up giving them to a relative.

High partcount was the reason why I quit flying them, cried evertime I crashed, mostly not due to the bill, but to the time needed to get it flying again, specially if you smashed the frames.

Simply put, it limited my 3D learning curve quite alot.

The newer XCell 90 design seems to be better in that aspect, if it ever makes the market.

Sorry, IMO a lot of pilots don't know how well the MA preforms and or the quality so they think it obsolete. Hard to sale at that time..

Heres my opinion

Ma is more money to buy and to fix but i think people just want somthing new to try out. Ma has an awsome product and i dont think anyone can deny it, but the fact is they do last for a very long time which means we dont need to tinker with them as much and intern get bored with them.
