Called MA. yesterday and spoke with Brian the new
manager their, and was asking about parts support
for the Stratus.
Brian said to me that they will continue parts support
for their full line of helicopters.
People to me this is good news. What I buy I keep!
So this Stratus will be with me till I can no longer fly.
I will continue to stock-pile parts just in case.
To Miniature Aircraft I say keep up the excellent work
in customer service...

Enjoy the hobby

I am assuming that their "full line" means their current line. Any chance of them bringing back 1005 support?

Look in the classifieds for used heli's
or go to Ron's Helipro South for new, and I think
if you buy new from him you get 10% off on parts for life.

Is MA machining their own parts? That would help insure availability on the more obscure pieces which might be why they can keep supporting the older models.

I was told by Tim that the new owner has full fabrication facilities, so nearly everything will be done in house , like CF with CNC automation.

Just to clear some things up, Miniature Aircraft USA has always been committed to continued parts support for old and even discontinued machines. Some parts had been discontinued, but we are currently looking at making some of the parts available again with the ultimate decision being made by the amount of demand for a certain model.

To answer this, Miniature Aircraft USA is now owned by FlyCo which happens to also own Big Sky CNC. All machine work, and carbon fiber cutting will be done by Big Sky CNC, so we have the option to continue making parts as long as the demand warrants it.

I think that philosophy will do well for them. Some of us who have been in this a while or who plan to be in this longterm will at some point tire of our models always becoming obsolete. I suspect they have a very loyal, probably a bit older than average customer base.

I think this is a big deal! Imagine if all manufacturers
start doing the same. This will be good for the hobbyist.
Guys like me can keep flying heli's they really like and
still buy the new technology. Ma has a new loyal customer.

Hi all Miniature Aircraft has always outperformed every other company as far as parts support. With the exception of the pro series and the early x-cell 30 ( only certain parts but not all) minair has supported ALL of their models since the beginning. I am sure the new owners will continue this tradition. The new owner has the facility's to reproduce any item if the demand is there. I know some had had some issues lately but most of this is due to the ownership change. I only see any of these issues being a step towards an even better MINAIR. Tim is still the chief designer and Flyco in charge of the rest can only improve an already great line of helicopters. just my 2 cents

Just curious anyone have a listing of the CNC parts they just re-released? If I try to fly in under 40 degree weather I tend to break plastic things!
